I recently compiled a DVD with 1hr 41min of video and an audio sound track to boot. Sadly, it cannot be burned because it is 4,556MB and the disc holds 4489MB. I thought DVDs held 4.7GB, I guess that translates down to 4489MB? Damn, I DO NOT want to re-encode for 20hrs just to save 67MB. Any suggestions?

also, I'd like to note that the Audio and Video folders created are 4.44GB. This should definitely write onto a disc I thought?

4.7GB means 4,700,000,000 = actually 4.37Gb since a Gigabyte is 1024 ^ 3 bytes not 10 ^7
You need to shrink your dvd. Try DVD Shrink.
