Hi all, i have just got a new external USB DVD writer, the first time i used it to Backup a DVD it asked me to select a region, because, if left with No Region it could cause problems ???, so i aborted, I didnt want to select any region because i didnt know which one was applicable to the UK, which is where i live !!!.
So what region is the UK.
I did however try a different computer and different software and that appears to be Backing Up the same DVD with No Region selected, quite happily. So is No Region OK or what ?.
please advise.

Europe is region 2.
I'm no expert but I don't think there's any compatibility issues with DVD region free back-ups.
What software are you using to backup?

TT--When you delete the first post in a thread, it trashes the entire thread. I've always felt this unfair to others that have dropped in to help, so I've "undeleted" the rascal.

o dear, sorry about that friend, i didnt mean to upset anybody (people are so genuinely helpful here) , i didnt think i would be able to delete the whole thing which is what i thought i was doing !,, but yes i do appreciate the help i recieved, but as i had resolved my initial problem i thought the question a bit of a waste of space, if i had thought about the query a bit more in the beginning, i dont think i needed to post the query in the first place, LOL.
