View Full Version : Ignore first chapter in a title set

I tried the guides and search but can't seem to solve this one.

I'm trying to author a DVD which has 2 titles in the one vob. What I want it to do is for the DVD to play all the way through as per normal.

However, I would like it to ignore the first chapter point (00:00) in the second title when pressing forward on the remote of a DVD player from the last chapter of the first title, i.e. the DVD would skip to Chapter 2 in the second title.

Is this possible? I would love to be able to do it in DVD-lab Pro if I can.

Hope someone can help.

Yes, it is possible and very easy. You need a 2 program: DVD Lab Pro and PGC Demux.
1. Demuxing your DVD with PGC Demux. Check a video, audio and celltime boxes. Some time after you get an all streams you needed for new authoring.
2. Open a DVD Lab with Normal project.
3. Add a video and audio into project.
4. Create a menu which you like.
5. Click on "Movie" tab.
6. Right click on video stream and choose Chapters -> Frame index All-chapters.
7. Right click on video stream again and choose Chapters -> Import and importing a celltime.txt with original chapter points (or you may to create your owner chapter points at DVD Lab).
8. Click on "Connections" tab.
9. Right click on any free place and choose Add -> Chapter Play list.
10. Add to playlist any chapter(s) you needed in any order and quantity. (You get a warning, then all chapters must has a closed GOPs at ends for this operation. It's desirable but not obligatory).
11. Link your menu button to this chapter list.
12. Make a DVD.

Second way: you just may blank unneeded chapter(s) in VOB Blanker in already authored DVD and be happy:-).
