very nice , trying this now, its at 37.6 in A LOT less tiem than cdcheck!

my problem is a corrupt dvd not scratch >< .

I don't mind it skipping as long as i can watch the disk!

at present it will freeze and then not show any more, dvd fab worked on another disk, but has had no luck with this one.

That will teach me to TRY and save money buying a cheap import (legit :P )

cypher_sounds,

It may be a type of copy protection and not necessarily a corrupt disc - if it freezes in a standalone player then its likely corrupt/mastering error - if it freezes in a software player only then it might be some copy protection.

Grab the anydvd trial from www.slysoft.com (21 day trial) load that in, then run h2cdimage (anydvd works at the driver level) it might help.

Have you searched the forum/googled for any issues with that disc?

Cheers,
Bitey

Hi!

1) What is the Title and Region (if any) of your "cheap import" DVD?

2) Would you be good enough to load it into DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 (with NO "helper" programs running) and post here the log of the (presumably) failed decryption effort?

What if eventually DVD will still contain some unrecovered sectors after this program?
What DVD-player will do at the problem sectors?
Will it crash into menu, hangs or skip this areas?

alexVS,

Dont know - depends where/how severe the error(s) is! - most likely just skip the 'missing bits' but you may see some breakup of the mpeg stream and/or audio.

Clearly, this DVD is, as you put it, hmmmm.

As such, it is out of bounds on this forum.
