I'm sure we've all been through this many times before... Without the fields of 60i, we have little to motion blur amongst the frames for a fluid feel... But I'm here to make an even harder challenge: animation. Unfortunately for me, the particular series I have is 30p, almost entirely (there's rarely ever a 24p segment, VFR would literally be for maybe a second or two per episode). Yeah, it's 100% progressive because of this, I should be thankful, blah blah (excluding the 24p parts of course; they're telecined to match the framerate)... But visually and aesthetically, I'd much rather have a 24p appearance.
Any ideas? Frame blending has it's own issues, and motion compensation is terrible for animation.
