That's usually a problem with AVISYNTH -- have you loaded a newer version? Either way, I'd suggest you reload it (AVISYNTH).

where do i check which version of avisynth i have

have i uninstalled it somehow by mistake :(

Create a text file and name it "VERSION.AVS" and then edit it. In the file insert this line:

version()

and save it. Then open it with Microsoft Media Player. It will display the version of the current default AVISYNTH.
