tampering with xvid settings

If I tamper with the xvid encoder settings,
will this have an effect on how gknot or agk processes video
when encoding?

Also, is there a complaint sub-thread on this forum?
All these countless various little pieces of software and
numerous settings abbrev. and different codecs and different versions and compiles and everything is really gving me a
big headache.
Why must video coding be such a painstaking migraine creating task?

AutoGK, no. It ignores any changes you might make and uses its own settings.
