I have a few files encoded in a few formats that have incorrect Aspect ratios (I blame it on the earlier encodes I made years ago when I didn't know much about AR).
I put many of them into matroska containers with the proper aspect ratio. I found that some files would work with the internal Matroska filter in MPC and others would not. DivX 3 and the old MS MP4v2 codecs would work just fine, whereas DivX 5 and XviD wouldn't display properly (AVC displayed fine, though). All of them worked with the haali splitter. They also all worked fine when I used "overlay mixer", but considering I use soft-subtitles with many of my encodes, I have to use VMR9.
Anyways, Is there a way to get the AR with an XviD or DivX 5+ file to display properly using the MPC internal filter, or am I forced into using Haali's splitter?
