Dvd43

hello,
I've noticed that there are two versions of dvd43. A freeware version and a shareware version.

I was wondering, which one is the real dvd43?

Is one based on the other? Is one an illegal copy as in ripped off? If anyone could shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

If I remember correctly "DVD43" ("DVD4Free") was initially freeware - and then the author sold the rights, to the program version as of a certain date, to dvdidle software.

I believe that both versions are now viewed to be out-of-date...

We'll they're both dvd43 which is confusing. The one from dvdidle.com and the free version. You say they're both outdated, but the freeware version was updated only a few months ago..maybe 4? So I'm a little confused. You can find the free one in the programs section of doom9.org's site.

Just look at their website and count the variations of "DVDFab this" and "DVDFab that", while the original freeware version of "DVDFab" (v.0.17) can be found elsewhere on the 'net...

hi; i have just tyied to rip a film to hard drive useing dvd43 and it would not work, are there updates for this as the last one was may 2006, any help would be appreciated.... thanks
