Bram Stoker's Dracula backup problem..

I have made quite a few backups using DVDDecrypter in file mode and then burning as a DVD-ROM (UDF-ISO) project in Nero. Up until now I have been able to play every movie I back up in my XBOX360. I used the same process and media on Dracula but it wont play, the XBOX just goes to the XBOX360 logo screen and hangs ever time. I was wondering if there is some kind of protection on the disk I dont know about or something.
Sorry if I poster this in the wrong place. Any help would be appreciated as I already made 2 coasters.

Hi!

1) Which version is it - the original "normal" bit or the 2002 "super bit" release?

2) Have you tried playing the burned DVDs on different standalone DVD players?

3) Have you tried playing the burned DVDs on your PC?

4) Are you using the same pack of media and burning at the same speed as for your previous, successful burns?

It's the original (not super bit) release, R1. I haven't tried the disk in another player yet, but it plays fine in both my desktop and my laptop.
I am indeed using the same media and methods as always. That's the only reason I think it may be a protection issue. I have about 400 backed up movies and as far as I know, this is the only one that won't play in my XBOX.

Try to play it in a standalone player other than an XBOX. Most likely it's the media/burn.

AFAIK, there is no special protection on this DVD.

Dear Skunk,

In some cases I had this problem with my DVD player (not XBOX) after using DVD Decrypter (everything was running well with a software DVD player, but the DVD did not work in the DVD player).

In all cases it was possible to solve the problem by re-authoring the DVD with DVD Shrink (no compression / full backup) and burning it again to another DVD.

Maybe this simple idea helps in your situation too.

It's the original (not super bit) release, R1.That's a VERY old release and contains NO special copy protection.

1) As I suggested previously, try playing the burned DVDs on different standalone DVD players

2) Try playing some of your earlier copies on your XBox now - to see if your XBox is still playing them properly

Sorry so late on my reply. I did resolve this problem. The backup atempts I had worked on my other standalone, so it was only the 360 causing the problems. I ran the output through DVDShrink with no compression as Musi suggested and all of a sudden, the resulting burn worked great in the XBOX.
Now I'm left with an interesting question. What exactly would DVDShrink do to the DVD files in no compression mode that would make it more compatible with standalone players? Also, can I make DVD Decrypter do the same things?

If I remember correctly, buried in the "UDF" and "UDF/ISO" options/icons in the NERO settings is a checkbox for "Xbox compatability"...
