A couple of things:
It would be nice if we could blank by VTS, or while blanking within a VTS, we had a shortcut key (like "B") to do so. Mousing gets a little tiring/cumbersome, especially when there's a lot of blanking within a VTS.
I did notice that you can still double-click to rotate through encoding options, so we still have the status quo at least. I thought I had to click off of the segment to blank, but I was mistaken - FYI...
The other thing that is a little confusing for me is the output between the two segment editors. If I blank with the new editor, the main movie bitrate and DVD-size do not appear to get auto-adjusted. If I switch to the old editor (after saving blanking work with the new one, and same session), it does register the change in bitrate for the feature, as if I had blanked with the old editor.
But, comparing the .ECL file between blanking via the two editors (in two different sessions), shows that the .ECL file is slightly different. Old blanking registers changes in "vbr_brate_avg=" for the feature, new blanking does not. Does this parameter serve a function, or is it informational, with the average bitrate being calculated/picked-up from somewhere else?
Thanks -- hope this isn't too confusing...
