Hi,

I've got a 5.1 AAC and I want to convert it to a 5.1 ac3 file for use in DVDLab. I've tried to do this with besweet, but I get an error.

Any one have any idea how to do this?

Thanks.

I checked and responded to those threads and no one seems to want to reply.

There must be a way to convert AAC to AC3 without losing the 5.1. :(

I got this program called Ease Audio Converter and it does convert to ac3 and when I put the file into DVDLab it does read as a 6 channel file. However, once I play the compiled VOB or burn it to disc, it plays as 2.0.

Never used easy audio converter, I've always used the method unskinnyboy suggested. Perhaps DVDlab is the problem, downmixing to 2.0?

Anyway, to your graphedit problem (I'll post to this thread as it's title is a little more relevant), what container are you using? It's a 5.1 aac, but is it in .aac, .mp4, .m4a?
It's an easy method but you're probably just missing a parser - aac_parser @rarewares.org for .aac, matroskasplitter @x264.nl for .mp4.
If your 5.1 aac files were created like mine, don't be suprised if you have to spend a bit of time remapping the channels in ffdshow for your ac3.
Have you tried BeHappy? It might be an easier method these days, though you'll still need the correct filters installed.
