I see you can make VDM force keyframes on chapter position, but i dont want that, let me explain.
When I use ChapterXtractor to get the times in ogm format and I compare them to encoded avi, its obvious they arent exactly right, i.e. the chapter should point to the start of a new key section.
However, the times are usually out and since xvid etc starts a scene change with a keyframe, i dont need to encoder to do anything different.
What would be useful, is an app etc that compares the keyframe positions (ideally scene change only) to the proposed chapter timings and adjusts them.
Does such a thing exist?
As it stands, I have to encode the files to an *.avi then reopen it in VDM and compare chapter times to scene changes and mod them before saving as *.mkv.
Anyone?
