advice please for upscaling DVD`s to 720p for crystal picture ?

Hi there I have done quite a bit of reading on this forum B4 posting but there seems to be so many diffrent settings in FFDSHOW to play round with.

my main goal is to upscale DVD`s to 720p with is the native resolution of my HD72 projector on a 92" screen.

I have had a play round with FFDSHOW the best I can and my settings are

resize X 2

Lancoz filter = default

chroma sharpen 1.5

Luma sharpen = 1.5

Picture Qulaity seems little bit of a inprovment but I am sure you guys will no other methods which will produce even sharper pictures !!

from doing some reading I have come across LimitedSharpenFaster filter is this recomended ??

can you recomend any ultimate ! settings that a large portion of this comunity agree with ??

Since this is in the AviSynth subforum: do you expect AviSynth scripts? For help on FfdShow I think you need another subforum.

You could always check out iip as well, or a dead simple resize->seesaw combo. Or you can try multiSWAR, or my EKG, although mine is quite overkill for such a mild upsize. (It'd be better-suited to 480->1080.)

The above is a marathon thread spanning a year of posts. I believe Socio distilled the "best of" that thread to create that site which you can no longer get to. As foxyshadis mentioned, there are several ways to upscale.

thanks for link. what order should I have in FFDSHOW for best results as you can move each action up and down to choose which works first.
