If you run the error message through Babelfish to translate it
http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr
it says this means:
I/O error 103 the procedure was successfully terminated
I'm guessing something went wrong with the audio extraction. Maybe the file has a strange audio codec or it might be VBR MP3. I'm not a big Divx fan, but I do seem to recall seeing on other forums about people having all kinds of problems with VBR MP3 when trying to convert the AVI to another format. If you think it's a VBR MP3 problem, the solution is to extract the audio and convert it to WAV format and then convert the WAV file to whatever you need.

Firstly, try the VDubMod trick in the "Problems specific to AVI" sticky.

If this doesn't help, convert the audio to WAV, as jshumate says. An easy way to do this is to use the "Streams" menu in VDubMod to extract the audio to a WAV file, then disable the original audio stream and import the saved WAV. Set Video mode in the "Video" menu to "Direct Stream Copy" and resave the AVI.

You will now have an AVI with the original video and WAV audio. Run this through DVD2SVCD as normal. It will probably fare better with this.

Good luck
