Hello!

I have a tv tuner card which i use to capture my tv shows using the x264 codec and mp3 codec sadly the audio is out of sync. It must be noted that there r no problems but as the recordings go on the audio is out of sync gradually.. i have applied the foll settings:

Video Resolution: 320x240
Video Codec: x264
Video Framerate: 25FPS
Video Bitrate: 320kbps

Audio Codec: mp3
Audio Bitrate: 24 kbps
Channels: 1(mono)

Please help me solve this problem..

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Gaurav(gobiaalloo)

Hi!

Load the file into VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or NanDub.
Set BOTH "Video"(VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and NanDub) and "Audio"
(VirtualDub and NanDub - VirtualDubMOD>"Streams>"Stream list") to "Direct Stream Copy".

A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the

video:

From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" (For

VirtualDubMOD, rightclick on the listed audiostream and then select

"Interleaving")
Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of

milliseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay audio track

by"
Save with a new filename

B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:

From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate" - and

select "Change so video and audio durations match"
Save with a new filename

Let us know of your success ;>}

do you get the same problem if you capture with another video codec or different audio codec? i capture at high bitrate divx with uncompressed wav audio and have never had a single sync problem, i then process this with virtualdub to my "final" format. if i capture with mp3 audio it starts getting problems with dropped frames etc as the cpu has to do extra work but for uncompressed wav there is no real load on the cpu. perhaps try alternate capture format and then batch process down to what you want as your final format.

good luck
