View Full Version : Does CCE SP 2.70 Trial need ECLCCE?

I want to run CCE SP Trial 2.70.2.10 with DVD-RB Pro. Do I need to configure eclcce?

EDIT: Just tried it. 2.70 is not supported by ECLCCE. Does 2.70 Trial support ECL files?

eclcce is not being updated (although it is open source). the gui in 2.70 has changed a bit from older versions so implementing it will take alot of work and since 2.70 doesnt require it no one has bothered. your 2.70 should not require eclcce. set dvdrb to 'trial' for cce and point directly to the cce executable under 'cce sp (new). You don't need ECLCCE for v2.70. But just as a warning -- there is a "badly cracked" version of v2.70.2.10 floating around that has changed the ECL headers making it incompatible.

No comment on that one. Just don't use it.

Thank you both for your answers.

No comment on that one. Just don't use it.rumor has it that there are only two current 'working versions' out there and quite a few others.
with CCE basic being relatively cheap, IMHO everybody who uses it a lot should honestly buy this application.

I am using CCE 2.70.02.10 SP trial (legit of course, not cracked) which I downloaded legally from here (http://www.picturetools.de/encoder_cce.html). This was linked to directly from cinema craft download page.

I thought the trial version was supposed to encode a logo into the stream?? I have yet to see it

Did I just get £1,175.00 software free for 30 days, with no limitations?!

Hmmm.... it's supposed to have a watermark. Maybe they posted the wrong zip?

soulstace

jdobbs have you seen the logo before? Where is it located, and how often should it occur? Maybe I just don't know what to look for?

I admit I haven't watched the entire backup yet. But I played the first 5 min of it and never saw any logo. Maybe half way thru the movie it flashes a big black screen with a cinemacraft logo for 20 seconds. lol, I guess anything's possible. That sure would stink though..

This isn't 2.70.2.10 but 2.70.02.00 as you easily can see in readme.txt

You're right. I linked to the wrong mirror. Sorry about that. Try this one (http://www.picturetools.de/encoder_cce.html) instead.

Did 2.70.02.00 have the logo in it?

All the Trials I've tested have the logo in the bottom right corner of the output.

I do still need to select CCE SP Trial mode in DVD-RB though. And apparently it is still limited to 2 passes.

But no logo is pretty cool. It's basically just as good as the full version of SP (for 30 days). Crazy man.

AGKnotUser, solutions is very easy. In INI file of rebuilder change this up the file

[Options]
CCE_Trial_Header="; Cinema Craft Enc. SP -- Encoder Control List"

it is the new header on CCE 2.70.2.10

Works very well but what is odd is if you select CCE SP in rebuilder and use:
[Options]
CCE_Header="; Cinema Craft Enc. SP -- Encoder Control List"

this does not work. Strange.

according to the cinemacraft website

"<< Limitations of Trial version >>

1. This program expires after 30 days from installation date.
2. A logo will be inserted in the encoded stream."

Shouldn't be limited to 2 passes. The basic version is limited to 2 passes.

At the price, the basic version is worth buying.

cheers

I have and use CCE Basic with Rebuilder. However from time to time I try out the newer trial versions to check if there are any real improvments. In my experience the trial versions places a logo on the output.

Hi.. this is my first try with dvd-rbr / cce trial
I changed the options accroding to this post.
I also exported a dummy ecl directly from cce to confirm that it's the good header.

however cce complained:
GdipLoadImageFromFile failed : 3

This is usually an AviSynth error, try to reinstall it.

i'm lost , never had this before.

so maybe i have to change the .ini but where do you had this lines and do i have juste to copy and paste what you wrote ?

thx

That probably means you didn't have that line added to the INI file before you did the PREPARE. A second possiblity is that you didn't select "Trial" version in the PREPARE.

I'd be very hesitant to use that or any crack... based on what I've seen of the DVD-RB cracks, these guys just don't have a clue as to what they are doing. I dump out the code and they have random patches all over the place that have nothing to do with the "crack" and cause weird-ass problems.

Just think of it this way. When you run a crack you are trusting your computer to a 14 year old who can't get a date and has one hand on the mouse and the other one down his pants... just how much do you think he really knows about what he's doing?

If you pop for $58 and get the CCE Basic version you'll never regret it. Just MHO.

i selected the trial version.

regarding the "crack" you're assuming lots of things...

my problem is not that it is not working but just that there is something wrong.

anyway you're not helping much.

jdobbs
1st August 2006, 22:48
Sigh...

If you are adding this line:

CCE_Trial_Header="; Cinema Craft Enc. SP -- Encoder Control List"

It is a crack. There is no official version that uses that header -- only a cracked one. If it isn't a crack -- then the problem is that you shouldn't be adding that line.

The bottom line is that there are only two types of standard headers that are used in CCE SP (greater than v2.50). It is either the "Trial" header or the "non-trial" header. If you are getting the "not an ECL for" error -- it means you have not selected the correct version or the program has been hacked to change the header.

:p i'm not adding this line since i don't know what my problem is.
i saw people saying that it worked so just wanted to know how.

and people using this line don't seem to have the same problem/message as i do...

Post your REBUILDER.INI file and I may be able to see what's up.
