View Full Version : Two dvds on to One dual layer sided DVD

I'm very much a newbie and am sure that I saw somewhere on these Forums how to copy two DVD's with or without shrinking on to one dual layer (or even single layer) DVD.
I think DVD Shrink was used for this purpose (?)

In case anyone is concerned, this is for convenience (why two when one will do?) and with my own AC/DC double DVD.

Shrink won't do it at all cos it can't set the layer break properly.

But it can re-author the DVDs into 2 VTSs and then use PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) to set the LB and burn with ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com).

See this guide (http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/dl_burn_guide2/dl_burning_with_pgcedit_v2.htm) for burning a DL DVD.

If you want the whole DVDs (and not just the 2 main movies), you can use DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php) (not free). It has a one-click merge feture. See here (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge_full.php) for guide. You'd still burn with PgcEdit.

Hi Les,
Thanks.

How is DBD Shring used to reauthor 2 DVD's?
I need to figure that out before anything else...

Don't dare tell me its just a case of ripping the 2 DVD's as individual entities!!!

G'day again "Old Man".

Have a look at this guide by ddlooping. It should get you going. Make sure you set compression to none and backup to hard disk folder and ignore the warning when it says the files are too big. After than load the project into PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) and burn.

Many thanks!

PgcEdit is a bit complicated for me but I will persevere and post if I get any problems.
