This is just for information and comments.
1. I tried to install WMP 11 on an WinXP sp1 machine, and installation admonished me that I'd need an sp2 environment.
2. Installation also advised me that it will garner configuration info from the Microsoft website. Does it mean a fresh round of Validation etc? I haven't found out because my installation was aborted because of not having sp2 in that machine.
