Matroska support in Avidemux

do you know anything about Matroska support in Avidemux? I heard it is planned.

Have somebody already started working on it? If yes, is there any approximation, when it could be ready?

But probably Matroska support will only come, if the Matroska support in FFmpeg improve.

I know that Mean (the main dev) doesn't like matroska container. So...
