i noticed during the installation of CCE, theres always the option of installing Adobe Premiere. what does this do? does it affect the way CCE performs in anyway when in use with DVD-Rebuilder?

no. It is a Plugin for Adobe Premiere. Adobe Premiere is a professional video app. The plugin is the same CCE you use as standalone for DVD-Rebuilder. When you have Adobe Premiere and you install the plugin you can use CCE in Premiere as encoder.
