How do I find out what is order of channel mapping on DVD?

DVD-Audio, or AC3/DTS from DVD-Video?
DVD-A depends on the format: MLP uses grouping options (i.e. Group 1:L-R, Group 2: C-LFE-Ls-Rs) and I think LPCM uses standard WAV mapping, not sure (L-R-C-LFE-Ls-Rs).
AC3 uses L-C-R-Ls-Rs-LFE.
DTS uses L-R-C-LFE-Ls-Rs.

Thank you. I meant audio from video. So AC3 will always be L-C-R-Ls-Rs-LFE and DTS will always be L-R-C-LFE-Ls-Rs.

PS: I was asking this beacuse mplayer sometimes doesn't correctly map channels (I think it always assumes that it is AC3 audio).

But know that when using transcoders, they usually remap the channel to the output format.
I.e. AC3 to WAV. AC3 is Ch1-L, Ch2-C, Ch3-R, Ch4-Ls, Ch5-Rs, Ch6-LFE. The transcoder remaps the output so WAV is Ch1-L, Ch2-R, Ch3-C, Ch4-LFE, Ch5-Ls, Ch6-Rs.
