FixVTS? When to use?

If I use DVD Dycrypter and there are no IO errors(no Arcoss) does it hurt to process the files with FixVTS? Is there any reason to use FixVTS if there were no problems and you don't need to use PGCedit, the wizzard and all that stuff?

If there is NEITHER "ARccOS" nor "RipGuard" copy protection, there would be no need to use FixVTS after ripping with DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4.

1) If it's "ARccOS"-protected, initially DVD Decrypter will not be able to completely rip the DVD

2) If it's "RipGuard"-protected, initially DVD Decrypter will be able to rip the entire DVD, but the log will indicate that some sectors have been REPLACED with "dummy sectors". You can then use either VOBBlanker or FixVTS to "clean up" the rip of a "RipGuard"-protected DVD

So, to summarize, if DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 generates a "clean" rip, without having to substitute any dummy sectors, there's no need to use FixVTS...

The best way to decide whether to use Fixvts is to use the advanced mode of the plugin. Pop original DVD in and launch PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html).

Plugins - PSL2 - Advanced - Find Protected Titles

If there are none, then the DVD has no advanced protection and there is no need to run FixVTS (www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS). DVD Decrypter will decrypt the DVD fine on its own.
