Hi.
I've got a videofile (ogg/ogm I believe). I want to compress the video using Xvid, and keep only one of the sound streams (there are two) and output to an avi file. Compressing the video is no problem, but there is no audio data. Absolutely no audio on the output file.
Even though Ive disabled the audio streams I dont want in the streams options. What do I do wrong?

It would be simpler (and better quality in the end) to return to your source material and re-encode from scratch.

The case is, I am not able to do that. Quality doesnt really matter as long as it actually is video with sound and you see whats going on. Its not for viewing pleasure I need to do this.
So.. is it very hard to do this? Maybe easier in another program?

It might be more helpful if you'd give a detailed explanation of what you've tried, including the program(s) used and any error messages or logs generated. More than likely the program you've used doesn't support Vorbis audio, in which case you'll have to convert and remux it with the video, all of which can be done with VirtualDubMod.

Ok, this is how I try to handle in VdubMOD. Ive got it on video. Sorry about the foreign language in the OS. I am sure I just do a mistake in VdubMOD. It should be possible to do what i want.

You didn't convert the audio.

If you are talking about compression>lame mp3, there is still no audio on the output file when I try.

1) In the video you didn't convert the audio in any way. If I'm not mistaken, you cannot use Vorbis in .AVI.
2) If VirtualDubMod cannot convert the audio (I was also unsuccessful converting Vorbis to Lame MP3 within VirtualDubMod), you'll need to demux it and convert it with something that can, at which point you can remux it.

When I press Demux, Vdubmod crashed/dissapears.

Have you tried using the BeLight/BeSweet combination to convert the audio?
