Sorry, I've been knocking my head against a wall trying to remember the name of that digital photo cleaner which some folks kludged into a video frame cleaner. Still can't remember the name (PerfectVideo, something like that) or this would have been attached to that thread.
In any event, Noisewave has been getting some very good press lately regarding grain removal, speed, and the quality of the results.
There are standalone, PhotoShop plug-in and free-use versions The free-use one saves as JPEG (ugh) but maybe the folks who like this method could cobble together a screen scraper to get lossless results.
