Hi All,

I notice that Auto GK doesn't encode one tv show at a time. It does them all in one avi though it correctly recognises the existence of 6 half hour streams. From the guides I assume this is the current state of developement and not a bug. Could some one please confirm this.

If this is so Is there a way of decrypting and seperating the result in to the 6 seperate mpegs? I want to do this so I can enforce a fixed size in AutoGK for each tv show.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

From what I've seen, episodic DVDs usually have each episode as a separate Title, or less often, as separate Chapters. In either case, you should be able to use either DVD Decrypter or SmartRipper to rip them as individual files for each episode...

...or, once you've encoded all six episodes, you can use VirtualDubMod to split it into individual episodes. I personally prefer ripping them individually (using DVD Decrypter in .IFO mode, which should list each episode as its own PGC).

the easiest way i've found with episodic dvds is to use robot4rip.

it uses dvddecryptor to rip but displays the episode pgcs in more "friendly" manner.

then you can load each ep and use agk. also, some episodic dvds are structured weird. for instance, my pink panther toon dvds all went in fine. load the ifo in agk per episode. however for my sopranos dvds, every time i would load the ifo (didn't matter which ep) i had to select the pgc from the list that would pop up.

hope this helps.

Hi,
I have been having mixed results with autogk 2.4 on win xp sp1. I dvddycrypted Curb Your Enthusiasm Series 5 Disc 1 in file mode.

In D1 vt2_2_0.ifo gets me to the select PGC pull down. I created 6 jobs, one for each episode. I only ran the first one. It resulted in one avi that contained all the episodes one after another. It was about 180 minutes long It should have been 30 with the first episode only.

I have attached the ifo files

Steven,

Since you asked this same question a year ago, I've merged your new thread into the old one.

So is it the case that the feature in autogk that enables the selection of single program cells (episodes) does not work?

Decrypt each episode individually, using DVD Decrypter set for IFO Mode.

That's right; it doesn't work properly. CWR03 gave you the answer a year ago. Why are you back asking the very same question?
