I'm trying to use RB's "Output to ISO Image File" option, but the file is coming out empty. DVD-Decrypter naturally rejects the file. This has happened consistently to two separate discs that I have tried. All of the ISO output options -- to delete files and to automatically burn -- are unchecked. I'm using the latest 1.09.3 Pro version.

1. in phase 3, after rebuilding part, does DVD-RB says .."writing ISO image..." ?

2. did you look in the rebuilder ini file, inside dvd-rb installation folder, did you see the
DVD_Label=....your dvd name
DVD_Name=....your dvd file name.ISO
?

The INI file appears correct. The log says that the ISO is being written, but that there is an error.- Building ISO Image...
- There appears to have been an ISO write error.
- ISO Image WAS NOT successfully written.This happens consistently, however, and for more than just one film.

I found a similar thread where jdobbs posted some commom causes, so I am giving updated information: MKISOFS.EXE and CYGWIN1.DLL both exist in the DVD-RB/APPS directory, the hard disk had another 13 GB of free space, and the volume label was less than 32 characters.

The size of the vts is different from the size written in the ifo files, if you open the ifo files with pcgedit (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/PgcEdit.htm)you'll see probably that it says -3 or somrthing likethat. there for MKISOFS.EXE that check it won't make iso.

solution: try run the project under fixvts (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FixVTS.htm) and then ifoedit (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/IFOEdit.htm)using "get vts sectors" this suppose to correct this problem, then try to build the iso again.

in any case if it wont work you can make your project ISO by using another software that don't use MKISOFS.

Just a quick question, is your drive where you are trying to create the ISO formatted NTFS or FAT32, FAT32 won't take filesizes bigger than 4GB and as the ISO produced is about 4.3GB then it won't create it and this may be where the 0 byte filesize is coming from

With regards to the 32 character limit, DVD-RB truncates it if you go over this anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem

Try not to have spaces in your ISO filename, or title. This caused problems for me in the past, can't remember if that was fixed in future versions, but I use the underscore character instead of space "_" now anyway for DVD titles

Also, install IMGBurn, its by the same guy who wrote DVD Decrypter but now its just the burning engine from the software, which has quite a few improvements over DVD Decrypter for burning and is being worked on unlike DVD Decrypter

Just install IMGBurn and DVD-RB will pick it up and use that instead of DVD Decrypter, no settings need to be changed in DVD-RB
