I am curious to why a 2 CD encode I did with AutoGKnot is split into 3 CDs? The total file size for the AVI is 1.37 GB which equals 1402 MB. Which is slightly oversized but the CD3.avi split is 10MB. What would cause it to be oversized? I realize there is headers and such that take up space but I'm confused on this one.
The comp. test was 60% and I am using 128 kbps MP3 audio and XVID.

Kinda sounds like 6.2 in the FAQ

Is the audio VBR or CBR?
6.3 FAQ
Also have you updated your Xvid install as of late?

Thank you for the link. That does sound like the problem I am having. I had Xvid 1.1 installed when I installed AutoGK which installed Xvid 1.2 on top of that. I uninstalled Xvid completely and installed Xvid 1.2 fresh. I'm reencoding now and will see if I still have that issue.
Edit: The audio is VBR and I just read the 6.2 question and that could be an issue as well but we'll see if reinstalling Xvid fixes the issue. If it still doesn't correct the issue is there any better accurate program for splitting AVI files? I tried Vdub as well but it also creates a 3rd AVI file.

I just tried it again and it was again split into 3 parts, however, it looks like it could happen with AutoGKnot as that FAQ suggests due to the integrated AVI splitter. This isn't a big deal to me since I'll be using DVD-Rs rather than CDs so I really don't need to split the files, however, incase I ever want to do so in the future, what is a good AVI splitter that would be able to split the movie into 2 parts?

VirtualDubMod works well.
