Hi,
I am interested in capturing audio from a specific channel (in 5.1 sound) from a DVD. For instance, I would like to record from a channel that includes only music, no dialogue. Can someone point me to a tutorial that would help me to do this? What are some recommended programs? Currently, I am considering using DVD Decrypter to rip the AC3 stream and HeadAC3he to filter the channels and downmix.
In DVD Decrypter, should I choose the "Demux" option in stream processing?
Would I need to resample from 48 to 44.1 KHz?
Thanks for any help.

Not sure if this is the best way (or if it even works right) but it is something you can try until a better answer comes along.

Rip the AC3 stream using DVDD choosing demux like you stated. Then use belight/besweet to convert the AC3 file to 6 mono waves. You will then have the separate channels to do with as you please.
I think you only need to resample to 44k if you are going to burn this to a cd. If you are creating a dvd or just using it on your computer I think you should leave it at 48k.

good luck
