RV-Media Has presented the implementation of new technology of coding of digital images and video. According to general director RV-Media Rinat Yanyshev: “Our company considers, that the community of the largest companies of the digital industry in the near future will pass on format Jpeg2000. We shall aspire to that process of transition to new technology was much more painless and more favourable both to our company and for its customers”.
The new standard gives set of opportunities, both for end users, and for professionals of video industry. Besides the standard initially intending for coding of digital images, has grandiose prospects in sphere of a digital photo, Internet applications, and mobile applications. The format has all chances to revolutionise integration the Internet of applications and mobile devices as allows, once having coded the image, to give the user an opportunity to receive it in various resolutions, with various quality, etc., being based on opportunities of the device and bandwidth of the telecommunication equipment
RV-Media Has issued on the market the free-of-charge version of the components and intends further strenuously to develop this direction of development. Supervising persons of the company declare that to the end of year will be ready commercial decisions for coding images and video optimized under various problems, with use of the advanced technologies.
At the moment SDK includes the following opportunities:
• Supports RGB, Grayscale images, ICC profiles
• High level C ++ libraries for decoding
• Full DCI compliance (ISO/IEC15444-1 Profile-3 and Profile-4)
• Multi-resolution decoding (decoding of thumbnails)
• Additional decoder options to fine tune speed/quality ratio
RV-Media Also conducts development on porting SDK under various platforms. It is actively developed versions DSP of codecs.
