Using DVDD 3.5.4.0, Nero Express 6.3.1.17 and NEC 3540. Some 1:1 TV show backups are missing audio on one episode only when ripped in file mode, burned then played in the 3540. There is no difference using memorex or verbatim +R DL media.
All is good (audio on all episodes) when ripping/burning in ISO. BTW, I have been choosing the .ISO file in NERO vs. the .MDS file and have not noticed a break in the playback. Should the .MDS file always be chosen to be safe?
Is it better to create .ISO 1:1 DL backups (vs. a FILE(.ifo,.vob.,.bup) backup) for maximum playback compatibility with other drives/set top players?
Now a specific Capote question: I was able to rip (FILE mode) successfully (thank you!) after importing one of the PSL files posted on this site. HD playback seems good. I haven't tried a burn yet.
I was UNABLE to rip after importing the PSL file in .ISO mode. The rip goes to 66% then stops.
Should I be satisfied with the rip in FILE mode? Is there any value in trying to get a good rip in .ISO mode?
My goal is to have a 1:1 backup library that I can play anywhere.
