View Full Version : Quick HC question: can i still resume a 2-pass encode?

i remember we used to be able to do this, but i haven't had to since HC was still commandline + ini based (no gui). what was the command that goes in the .ini file to resume?

someone ran a chair into the power switch on a computer that was doing a 2 day long encode... the .dbs file is still around, and i was wondering if i could save a LOT of time by resuming the second pass...

sorry if this is easily findable with search - i didn't have much luck with it.

In Rebuilder I believe you could resume an encode but I don't know about just the HC encoder.
Btw, that accident prone individual should have to manually copy all the many Cqm Matrix files of LigH's to text files, one digit at a time for punishment.:D

No, you can't restart the second pass again, there's just not enough info in the .dbs file for that.
