Is it possible to run 2 separate windows of PowerDVD at the same time? I want to compare 2 different releases of the same movie.

What do you want to compare?, image/sound quality?, framerate, etc?. Either way, you're better off taking snapshots for visual comparison and checking out the "File Information" from VirtualDub MPEG2.

Why not try it and find out? It would probably work if you had one disc image mounted in a virtual drive and the second in a physical one (or even another virtual).

If it behaves like other players, you won't be able to make a valid visual comparison. The "selected" one will appear darker or seem to have more saturated color than the other "not selected" one.
To see if this is the case, simply click on one or the other window...
