This has been talked around, but not completely answered. I have an .avi file with an Italian audio track and great video. I have an English audio track of the same video as a .wav file. I would like to replace the Italian audio track with the English one. How do I start, and further, how can I ensure synchronization? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am using a Vaio RZ54G with Windows XP Media Center Edition, and am quite new at working with videos.

Thanks for any help.

Assumed that all the material you're talking about is yours, open the file in VirtualDub, go to audio and select "wav audio", then choose your track.
Set the video to "direct stream copy" and the audio to "full processing mode", then choose the codec and the settings for the audio compression.
If the audio plays out of synch, correct the difference changing the "delay" parameter in the interleaving window.
