This is what it says in the Log and its weird, I'm trying to backup an episode of Star Trek Voyager but every time it has stopped at 34%. I looked online for an answer but I couldn't find one, but I did find that if I checked Ignore Read Errors, that it would then complete the decryption.

I'm basically just looking for an explanation so that I can figure out how to avoid this problem in the future.

Thanks

Hi!I'm trying to backup an episode of Star Trek VoyagerI'm presuming you actually mean a season's DVD, not an episiode.

As far as I know, these DVDs are all Paramount releases and, as such, contain no special/newer copy protection.

I'd suggest you try cleaning the DVD. Then, if you still have this problem, return the DVD to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

As setarip_old says, try cleaning the DVD.

A couple of my DVD`s failed with read errors, the only solution i found was to lower the "Read Speed" (settings/Device/Options)set the read speed to 2x, and see how it goes.
