View Full Version : Pulldown problem with DVD2DVDr

I know it is an older program but I have had great success with it and the PQ looks great on my bigscreen. But here of late I cannot finish a backup. DVD2DVDr always stops at the initialization of the 3:2 Pulldown. I have tried using DVDfab Decryptor for the initial rip instead of DVDDecryptor but get the same error. I have tried reinstalling DVD2DVDr which should reinstall the Pulldown file but still get the same error. The program has ran fine for years until now. This happens on all movies not just select ones. I am baffled and need someones help to solve this. I really miss this program.

Tell us which version you are using? Which decoder plugin are you using in AVS-Script? Some are not suitable to NTSC, iirc

DVD2DVDr version is 1.80 (or 1.81, it is at home and I am at work) and encoder is CCE 2.50SP. I have used this version or previous versions of DVD2DVDr for years it seems. This problem just started in the last month or so. That is why I am stumped as to what has happened. I don't remember uninstalling any of my movie stuff but I did a reinstall of DVD2DVDr just in case something had gotten screwed up. It did not help. Thanks for the help.

Why don't you check the forum on the dvd2dvdrr website, perhaps the author can help you with it?

If your O/S is WinXP, try performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly...

I thought about the DVD2DVDr website but it is in German, not a lot of English support since this is an "old" program. I have looked around for other solution and really liked the looks of DVD-RB Pro. It looks like it will do everythng that I want which is "Movie Only" encodes with CCE. I did a couple with the Free version and the results were acceptable even with the menu structure and stuff the Free version will not remove. So I went ahead and bought the Pro version and the first backup is in process now. I can't wait to see if it is as good as I hope it is, which would be DVD2DVDr quality. But thanks for the help and suggestions anyway.
