When looking at an LCD monitor with an angle greater than the optimal viewing angle, the colours seem to be deeper. Does anyone know what causes this? Is it the contrast?
This may seem unrelated to video editing, but actually I have a video which looks very '2 dimensional' and by chance I looked at it from an angle. I noticed that it suddenly looked much more 3D, due to the deeper colours. :) So my question is, what parameter do I need to change in a video editing program to artificially create this effect. Increase the contrast? Lower the gamma? Increase the colour saturation?
