Input Resolution?

Hi, I've poked around pretty good the avisynth site and some here on this forum, but can't find if I can do what I'm hoping to do with avisynth. I'm new to avisynth but have successfully opened files in vdub via script and by some experience understand what's going on with the scripting, filters, etc.

My problem- I've got a video encoded into .mov. I'm looking for .mov tools to help identify what I'm dealing with, but for now the info I have is via mpc and vdub. With QTalt, mpc, vdub, and another player on a windoze xp desktop, the .mov file plays fine- video and sound. Mpc says the video resolution is- 782x586 and plays the file at this resolution. Vdub see's the file as 320x240.

The problem is is that vdub see's and displays the video at the 320x240 as a crop of the of the original resolution if it were laid over the original in the upper left hand corner. What I had hoped maybe I could do was specify the input resolution via avisynth like I've seen how to set the fps, pixel type, etc.

Can this be done?

Had no idea. Pretty pissed off you didn't delete my post, pm me, and I could have corrected things. Not even sure why I bothered to mention things to begin with, usually wouldn't have bothered. Funnier part is that on this site- whom's sole purpose in existance is nothing more than everything about illegally ripping, copying, encoding, and stealing commercially sold dvd's under the guise of 'dvd backup,' is even better. I could record 'tv' all day on vhs, but anything 'dvd' is a commercially sold product.

Not my site, I'm not going to argue with you. I purposely came around to make a post to piss all over this site. At least this was worth it. I 'know' all you other posters, moderators, admin's, etc, are simply only 'backing up' your dvd movies and are certainly not 'ripping' them. Nah, I call 'tvrips' of something that will never be broadcast again, something I can vhs all day, and something that will never be released on dvd- a grey area, but because of vhs and dvr's; this- sure as hell doesn't have anything to do with 'dvd backups' (ie- ripping off commercially sold merchandise.)

Fact check your info buddy. Doom9 does not condone anything along these lines. We don't appreciate being referred to as pirates. Most of us are just really interested in video processing, and this happens to be a very good place to come learn about it.

I started off 3-4 years ago, knowing next to nothing, and now I have learned so much, thanks almost entierly to the people on this forum who so kindly share their knowledge.

You've got a less than ideal attitude if you actually want to learn something...
