You can't control brightness directly through MPC, (the one with windows media player is just for overlay and sucks ass, (all you're doing is turning your monitors brightness control up and fking up the gamma and contrast) I want complete control over: brightness, gamma, saturation, red levels - blue levels - green levels, etc. So I use ffdshow for this and set up presets, My presets have names like
add_red.ffpreset,
saturation_boost.ffpreset,
washed_out.ffpreset
reduce_red.ffpreset etc
You can click the preset you want from the windows tray so it's fast (of course all the time you spend getting ffdshow perfect is a whole other deal). If you need instruction on that post another message.
