Hello there, I'm new here on this forum. I've read all kind of guides I've been able to come across, but I'm still not quite getting it. Here's my story, hope you can help me.
I'm trying to make backup copies of my old movies "The last house on the left", "Children of the corn" and "Carrie". I've downloaded DVD decrypter and made them into VOB-files that I have in a special folder here on my computer. Now, what I want to do is:
- Make the VOB-files playable on a DVD.
- Copy the menu, extras, subtitles along with the movie files
- Burn everything onto a DVD+R
When I play the DVD, I want it to look exactly as the DVD I have bought. Note that I've already bought these discs; the files are not illegally downloaded or something. I just want to make new DVDs o these old and pretty ripped discs so I don't have to buy new ones.
So, how should I proceed from now on? I have VOB-files of the films and the extra material included.
- How should I do with the menus; are they included in he VOB files or do I have to create them seperately? Many guides I've been reading don't specify how I get the menus onto the disc at all.
- How should I do with the subtitles (the subtitle choices are inbedded with the menu, and I'd like to keep it that way)? Are they already in the existing movie VOB-files or how do I get them onto the disc?
- When I have the menu files and the movie files, do I burn them all just randomly onto a disc or do I have to put them in a certain order or burn them with a special programme?
Thanks all in advance for you help, I'm kind of lost here. If you could shed some light on my situation, I'd be forever grateful!
