Hi all,
I'm looking for a decent TMPG template for creating SVCDs from my DV camcorder footage. I've used the standard SVCD (NTSC) template, but wasn't very satisfied with the result. The color and sharpness were just average. However, the motion smoothness appeared to be pretty good. In contrast, the results I got with Cleaner 5 (on the Mac) were that the color and sharpness were excellent, but the motion smoothness was not that good. So I'm hoping to tweak TMPG a little more to come up with some better results.
My process is; I capture footage from my DV camcorder via Firewire. I edit in Premiere (Mac) and export the finsished timeline using the builtin Quicktime DV compressor. I then open that file directly in TMPG and attempt to encode. So if anyone has a similar workflow and has produced decent results with TMPG, I would really appreciate it if you could share your settings.
