View Full Version : DVD Menu Plays over and over

I ran Chiken Little & Hoodwinked through DVDFAb Decrypter, compressed with DVD Shrink and used NTI CD & DVD Maker resulting in a DVD with the Menu poping up over and over every time I press play. Pressing the other items on menu such as scene selection or special features does nothing. By pressing next from the menu the DVD plays but starts about one to two minutes into the movie. This actually happens to most of my DVDs.

Hi!
1) Have you tried playing the DVD "package" (As "DVD", NOT simply individual .VOBs) created on your hard drive by DVD Shrink, using a software DVD player such as WinDVD, PowerDVD, or VLC player
2) Have you tried playing the burned DVD on both your PC and a standalone DVD player, or only one or the other?
3) Have you had ANY successful DVD burns using "NTI CD & DVD Maker"?
4) What brand of media are you burning?
5) What is the brand and model number of your DVD burner?
6) What speed are you burning at?

He He your a bad man setarip@ausguy - I fail to see how you came to this conclusion based on setarip_old's post.
Even if said in jest, can you please observe rule 4?

@leappinglizzards
Welcome to doom9 - what is your media ID code and firmware? Do you have a burning log you can post?
You might want to read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49635).

Hello,
do you really need menu's in your back-ups?
I always pick re-author in dvd shrink, then just click and drag the main movie over.

Thanks for your help! I reauthored without menus and that worked out pretty well. I'm still having some other problems but haven't had the time to do all the suggestions sent to me. I did read up on all the suggestions and will let you know how it comes out once I can implement them. Thanks again!

I will get back to you on the six questions you asked me as soon as I can. I am in the process of moving, working and being mom; really crazzy time for me. I appreciate the time you are taking helping me out. Thanks!
