When I tried to run VirtualDubMod 1_5_10_2_b2542, it hung with the message that it couldn't find corona.dll.
I downloaded corona.dll and inserted one copy in system32 and another one in the VirtualDubMod directory. When launched, VirtualDubMod now hangs without any error message displayed.
For Corona, I used WinZip instead of Express Zip to unzip. I don't think that could make a difference.
I also cleaned the registry "aggressively".
Seems this software is touchy to install.

Yes this is a major bug in all VD(mod) releases. Switch to VD(Mpeg2)
The error message is mis-leading and this problem doesn't appear on all installs. I have the problem on two workstations, no fix so far.

What I am saying is that you will get a message saying that a DLL, I have seen three differents ones, but only one reported per install, is missing but that is not the problem. I am running VDmod on three workstations with no problems but on two others, I get that message. This problem has exsisted in the last few releases. There are other member posts about the same problem.

The problem disappeared when I used the VirtualDubmod version downloaded from the following site
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889&package_id=63653&release_id=352709

Sorry to say that it didn't fix the problem. Message "Failed to load because "libmx.dll wasn't found" next message was a "Microsoft C++ Runtime Error".
Glad you got your's to work.
