If possible yes, but what for?
If the question is what is happening, please post your complete logfile. :logfile:
It happens recently quite often. Makes no difference wether I use the original DVD as input or using dvd-decrypter first!
So, did it happen on more than one dvd?

Hi!
Happens with several movies. If s.th goes wrong, using the original DVD, I usually give dvd-decrypter a try. De- and reinstalled autogk, too.

Here is an other logfile (pretty much the same):...
Hi, not exactly the same and interesting
First log has 2 audios, I suspect one is keep original audio the other is mp3 encoded. Can you confirm?
Second log has 1 audio mp3 encoded. Maybe problem is related to mp3 encoding...
To confirm that, can you re-encode maybe the movie of second log with "keep original audio" to see if AGK goes beyond audio processto the compt-test (you can abort after if positive) and report back
Other possibility, your dvd-reader has problem... can you try another one? or maybe clean it?

Hi BigDid!
Didn't mean to put you under pressure...
ALL audios were set to CBR! - and it's not a dvd-reader issue ( I'm using diffrent dvd-readers).
Will give the original audio a try, and will let you know the relsults!
Maybe there's a problem with the codec (not correctly installed or s.th)? I will run gspot and gaze al look!

Didn't mean to put you under pressure...
I wonder because I had 2 PM in less than 24h, and I +have+ responded to the 1st one. 1 day is average to minimum accepted to +maybe+ have a response. Subject is closed for me.
..may I stop the process? Seems to work! (audio is original)...
So AGK works with original audio and not when mp3 encoding is used. Consider uninstalling properly AGK and associated programs by deleting the specific folders and making a clean and complete re-install of AGK.
Or there is some mixup between audio and subtitles cause in your last test there were no subtitles involved ...
To be (eventually) continued.

...will make sure, to have a new codec-pack as well...
Did I talk about codec pack?
No, it may be one more source of troubles.
By clean installation I mean nothing more, nothing less than what is bundled with AGK.
At this point, I'm not sure mp3 encoding is the problem it also may be a hardware problem. Have you, recently, succeeded in making a complete encode?
To test make an long encode with original audio (we know it works) if complete should put hardware on the side (at least for the moement) cause audio encoding and xvid encoding are the long stressing moments for memory, processor and power unit.
Another question do you overclock your processor?
About hardware, in this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=836377#post836377
the user discovered that his processor was overheating and crashing the system, encoding was only the revelator :o
In the past, I have had several reboots, blue screen etc... when encoding with different symptoms (sorry no audio exception). Each time my fault, too much overclock, wrong memory timings, wrong xvid installation etc...
Other hints, ideas ... welcome.

Edit: Did you try VBR MP3 encoding instead of CBR? I know the CLI is not used the same way...
Broesel
4th June 2006, 20:40
Hello again!
Yes, I made some successfull encodings recently. But when it fails with a certain DVD, it always fails with that one (no matter which PC I use).
I usually run autogk on my laptop: No overclocking! I'm sure it's not overheated! And no changes in hardware.
Will give VBR a try, and will try the failed encoding procedure on my other computer... maybe this helps to find out, whats wrong.
Will deinstall the codec-pack ("KLCP", it's called), too.

Strange: Again a new installation of winXP. Ran same project again - but without codecpack installed, and VBR instead of CBR: and it seems to work!!! Will give it another try, chosing CBR to verify if it's been the codec-pack or the the VBR, which caused the problems!

Well, luckily I don't have to understand everything that happens on this little planet!
I wll have a look on doom9 - but in case somebody can recommand a codec pack which never occured problems...: that would be great!

Hi,
Got 1 virtual bonus point :)
Thanks for reporting back. I just don't use codec pack, I have Xvid, quicktime alternative and ffdshow with MPC and that's it.
Made a search on codec pack:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=109873&highlight=codec+pack
That's from Sirber developper of real anime; so that may be a guarantee or
