what is avh?

Hi all,
I'm a noob & just got the K-Lite Video pack. I had downloaded a movie which is 1.3 GB & the G-spot Codec shows it to be one hr. + something. Now while just playing around I somehow managed to extract an .avh file after which I'm able to play of only 20 minutes of the video. How do I fix it? Also what is an .avh file. I've tried google as well as the Doom 9 search function before posting here. The codec is .xvid & have the codec installed. Totally non-plussed. Thanx in advance.

What movie did you download? The reason I ask is because it appears that you are violating one of our most important forum rules, i.e., rule 6:

o.k. sorry I asked. The idea was not just to be helped but to understand how the K-Lite suite of tools worked. Should find a better forum to know. There is no forum/knowledge-base hence asked here. sorry to bother u

Yeah... don't bother with the k-lite codec pack. Of course, you clearly violated rule 6 so I have probably said too much already...
