ffdshow automatic preset loading

Please, help me to understand how "autoloading preset" works. In video decoder I use only FOURCC condition and in audio decoder number of channels. Every time default preset is loading (bold style name). Surely checkbox "Automatic..." is checked. I use ffdshow-20060526-rev2546.exe by videomixer9.
What does checkbox "on movie filename match" mean? It doesn't have any corresponding text field.
What options I must check in the "default" preset, which can't be removed?

I tried to answer you yesterday but I'm not sure. One thing might help you. If you chose image settings (inside ffdshow) and double click on a preset, that preset will become your new default. Seems like it's broken now, it used to work just like you think it would, you enter the name of the movie and when you select that movie it loads the preset as well.

And ffdshow will always use it, whatever settings for autoload I set. In my case autoload didn't work, it uses my default profile.
Seems like it's broken now, it used to work just like you think it would, you enter the name of the movie and when you select that movie it loads the preset as well.
May be it is broken. There is no answers - may be nobody uses this feature.

I have a "multichannel" preset in audio decoder (on number of channels match - "3;4;5;6;7;8") - it works for me.

I think I found the answer. After you have entered the movie into your preset. (example, I have a preset named "lower_red" , I want the movie "002.wmv" to always use the preset "lower_red" I enter the name of the movie into the preset auto-load box, but then I must save the preset "lower_red" before it will work. Very simple when you think about it

I can't get preset autoload feature work. When I create preset for "application exe" it load as I need, but for FOURCC it doesn't work :( Can anybody test this? I am using ffdshow-20060711-rev2546.exe by videomixer9.

igor.. sorry for the dumb question - but are you using ffdshow the "normal" way via directshow or are you using ffdshow through vfw? because in the case of ff_vfw preset loading doesn't seem to work at all.. :(

I read this thread.
It seems that preset autoloading doesn't work for FOURCC parameter. Now I'm using "on decoder match" parameter to separate my avc and asp presets. I don't know if it is a bug or not, because nobody confirm this :(

Hmm.. which ffdshow build are you using exactly? And with what / in which application? With the most recent SVN builds FOURCC automatic preset loading with DirectShow works fine... (it seems ;o)

Still doesn't work :( I tested on 2 computers
