TMPEGEnc Error

Hi all!

I get an error when i try to open a dv file which i just captured. I want to convert it to MPEG2 and low resolution so that the size is small.. i am also posting an image of the error i get.

Pls help me to correct this error.. for the past 4 weeks i have easily converted files with TMPEGEnc.

Hi!

Probably requires that you install a DVD video codec (such as MainConcept) on your PC...

but i converted a video to MPEG2 yesterday only... how is that possible?

That is probably a codec problem. Why not try some other tool to convert it? The file itself may also have a problem...

Yeah I would try transferring it again, or if that is difficult to run a disk checker or something--maybe it's corrupted.

is it possible to play the file in a player, e.g. Windows Media Player? Maybe the file is corrupt for some reason. TMPGEnc should be able to open a DV file directly.

The prob. is solved now... All i had to do is increase the Prority of "DirectShow Multimedia File Reader" thank u all for ur efforts :)

Oh - now that you say it: that issue is quite common... (I should have thought about that earlier).
