Subtitle incorporation and menu hacking...

I made a subtitle myself (fansub) from a commercial DVD.
I want to Mux my subtitle into the DVD (I only konw how to do that if I drop the original menu) and add an option to the DVD menu so that I can turn on my homebrew subtitle before the film starts.

The original menu look like this:

And I want to change it to something like this:

How can I accomplish the task? (Is it even possible? even with Scenarist)
