@fccHandler:

I can see the changelog for this new version, but the available download is the older version 1.6.14 build 24417...

I just checked it myself and it is the correct version. Make sure you are getting it from here:

fccHandler, do you plan to include MP4 input support in your VirtualDub MPEG2? Can you do it ?

:o I got it

:confused: I just downloaded it twice. the first time with a trial version of getright to download it and it somehow got the older version again, but then I tried with FDM (free dnld mgr) specifying to not use any Proxy svr, and it got the right one. I think there's some kind of problem with a proxy in the middle...

:thanks: !

Well, it wouldn't be of any benefit to me personally, so the answer is no, I have no plans to do it. However, I do get bored sometimes so you never know. ;)

fcc, is your mpeg engine different from avery's?

sice your vdub loads some mpeg that vdub does only partially.

Yes, the MPEG code is completely different. To fully support MPEG-2, I had to ditch all of Avery's code and start over from scratch.

Not that his was bad code, but it was heavily optimized for situations specific to MPEG-1 only. (Strictly progressive frames and MC, only 4:2:0 supported, etc.)
