x264gui is a fork of StaxRip. StaxRip is made for people who want to encode quick and easiliy while x264gui is made for people who want to tweak for the fun of it.
Everybody skilled enough is welcome to join the project. If contributors are found the development will take place at SourceForce or a similar system.
Source code incl. binary can be found here (http://www.planetdvb.net/misc/x264gui.zip).

Both if possible but please wait until there is a x264gui support thread, right now it's mainly a demo to attract contributors. Finding good VB .NET GUI programmers is crucial for the future of this project.

Is there an option to enter your required "Aspect Ratio Signalling" value?
Cheers

The proper value should be signaled automatically, custom overrides aren't supported yet, ATM I don't spend much time with StaxRip/x264gui, maybe later or maybe somebody else can add it.

x264 interests me. Although I am a C# developer but .NET languages are all the same... :D. I downloaded the source code and am currently going through it.
Does x264GUI need StaxRip to be present to compile or run?

from what stax said it's a fork of staxrip so it shouldnt need staxrip at all to compile.
